AI-Driven Knowledge Discovery in Libraries and Information Centers

Honorable Sagir Musa Ahmed will discuss how AI enhances search efficiency, digital archiving, and knowledge discovery in libraries, information centers, healthcare databases, and environmental studies.

Currently the Commissioner of Information, Youth, Sport, and Culture in Jigawa State, Nigeria, Sagir previously served as Commissioner of Land (2020-2023). He holds a BA in Library and Information Science/Political Science from Bayero University Kano and a Master’s in Information Systems Management (Distinction) from the University of Salford, UK. ]

Sagir’s career spans roles as Director of the Information Resource Center at the U.S. Embassy in Abuja and positions at Nigeria's Office of the National Security Advisor and the Defense Intelligence Agency. An active youth leader and founder of the Jigawa Young Professionals Forum, he is also a Certified Librarian of Nigeria (CLN) and a Cyberoam Network Security Professional (CNSP). In 2014, he participated in the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program under the American Libraries Project.
